Biography

Sergey Dunaev graduated from the Department of Management in Energy of the State University of Management (GUU).

He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, then at EuroChem as the chief specialist in the IFRS department.

2006-2014: Work at Severstal

Since 2006, Sergey Dunaev began his career at Severstal as an IFRS manager. Subsequently, in the company, he consistently held the positions of head of the Finance direction of the ERP project office (Severstal Resource), project manager of the Unified Service Center, head of the Deployment direction of the ERP project office (Severstal Rossiyskaya Stal), head of the SAP Development and Support Center .

The SAP Development and Support Center, which was led by Dunaev, is responsible not only for maintaining SAP products in the company, but also for its development - replicating solutions to new enterprises, introducing new components, evaluating projects, etc. Together with SAP, the center participates in the revision of official releases, testing.

Dunaev worked at Severstal until October 2014.

2014: Transition to SAP CIS

In October 2014, he joined SAP CIS, where he led a team of service and support partners responsible for interacting with strategic customers in the CIS market - Gazprom, Lukoil, Severstal, Sberbank, Metalloinvest, NLMK, Samruk and others.

2017: Return to Severstal, appointment of Chief information officer

In April 2017, Severstal left the director of information technology Yuri Shekhovtsov, moving to work at Norilsk Nickel. Since April 10, Yevgeny Akimov, who previously held the post of head of the SAP Development and Support Center, was appointed acting director for Severstal IT and general director of Severstal-Infok.

On April 19, TAdviser became aware that Sergey Dunaev, who had previously worked closely with him, was identified as the most likely candidate for the position of Chief information officer after the departure of Yuri Shekhovtsov. Two sources familiar with the company's plans told TAdviser about Dunaev's planned appointment to this position.

Two days later, Severstal officially confirmed this information: the company announced that Sergey Dunaev would be appointed Director of IT Severstal Management and General Director of Severstal Infocom on May 22, 2017.

In his new position, Dunaev will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's IT strategy, as well as combining all IT management facilities into a single system that uses the best world practices and ensures the growth of Severstal's competitive advantages.

The new Chief information officer will be subordinate to the deputy general director for finance and economics, Severstal Management, Alexei Kulichenko. He stated that he was glad to return his colleague.
