In mid-June 2025, it became known that AlfaStrakhovanie had abandoned the use of the UiPath robotic process automation (RPA) platform. Instead, within the framework of the import substitution program, the domestic Primo RPA system was introduced.
According to CNews, Elena Eremina, a business partner in information technology at AlfaStrakhovanie, spoke about the project. According to her, the introduction of RPA in AlfaStrakhovanie began "10 years ago," when robotization technologies were practically not on the market. A key factor in selecting the platform was the low entry threshold. Of important importance were the available training materials, which made it possible to quickly master the technology and get to work. The speed and ease of development, the quality of interaction with the product supplier were also taken into account. As a result, choosing fervor for a UiPath solution. However, after the departure of foreign suppliers from Russia due to the emerging geopolitical situation, the need to introduce a Russian alternative was ripe.
The Primo RPA team was distinguished by having inherited the experience, methodology and approaches of the former UiPath team in Russia. This ensured that we met the criteria we set: cost, speed and quality. In addition, another important criterion has appeared for us - the predictability of the development of the product and vendor in the future. It became important to understand how the counterparty will develop the platform, says Eremina. |
She also notes that AlfaStrakhovanie uses RPA to automate various processes. Among them are the preparation of reports-acts or checking the status of insurance contracts, obtaining information on the cost of shipments by Russian Post (due to the lack of the necessary API), testing hypotheses, etc.[1]
