2025: Topaz SW Network Managed Switch Introduction

Technology PiCI has completed the test cycle of the TOPAZ SW network controlled switch (RR and RF design). The device is included in the Unified Register of Russian Electronic Products. The anchor customer of the development is PJSC Rosseti. The developer announced this on June 18, 2025.

PiElSi Technologies began creating a domestic switch for highly automated TOPAZ SW substations against the background of the departure of foreign vendors and strengthening the security of critical information infrastructure (CII).

In 2023, the company received a grant under the program of "raising" technology companies to the requirements of large corporations, the operator of which is the ANO "Center for Engineering and Innovation Support." Within the framework of the program, the company has finalized technical and structural characteristics in accordance with the requirements of PJSC ROSSETI.

The TOPAZ SW network controlled switch is implemented in a fanless design in two design formats: RR (rear right) and RF (right front). The device supports 10 Gb/s interfaces and the PTPv2 synchronization protocol in accordance with the IEEE 1588v2 standard. This allows the equipment to be used by industrial companies with their own electric power infrastructure.

We are grateful to the Engineering and Innovation Support Center for the opportunity to present the product based on our own design of circuitry and structural solutions to large customers. Completion of the qualification test cycle means that the product is ready for serial production. PiElSi Technologies imported foreign switches. The improved solution works faster and, at the same time, passes more traffic in comparison with existing analogues.
