2025: Appointment as Director of the Digital Development Department of the Ministry of Transport of Russia

Artyom Yurenkov has been appointed Director of the Digital Development Department of the Ministry of Transport of Russia. TAdviser drew attention to this on June 25, 2025, when the department issued a message on its website about the formation of a working group on the introduction of unmanned vehicles.

Transport Minister Roman Starovoit signed a decree on the creation of a working group in order to implement an action plan for the introduction of highly automated vehicles on public roads. Artyom Yurenkov headed this working group.

Earlier, the Department of Digital Development of the Ministry of Transport of Russia was headed by Dmitry Sachkov, who worked as a director since May 2022. On March 13, 2025, the PRO transport Telegram channel announced the departure of Dmitry Sachkov from the post of head of the IT department of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. In that report, it was noted that Sachkov resigned after the ex-Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Bakanov, who oversaw digital development in the department.
