2025: Launch of AI Implementation Platform
The Russian government has launched a digital platform, which will become a single window for the exchange of regional practices for the introduction of artificial intelligence and the coordination of AI projects in the constituent entities of the federation. The tool was implemented on the basis of the current portal "Digital Region" of the Moscow Region and will be developed by the Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence under the Government of Russia, which was created in June 2025. The platform is designed to optimize regional costs for AI implementation, eliminate duplication of projects and accelerate the scaling of successful solutions throughout the country. This was announced in August 2025 in the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.
According to Kommersant, a catalog of AI solutions implemented in various constituent entities of Russia has already been compiled on the platform. Some solutions are unique, some have similar functionality, which creates opportunities for replicating successful experience in other regions.
The Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence will modernize the platform and comprehensively analyze existing practices for the use of AI technologies in public administration. The new resource architecture and professional moderation on the part of the CRIA are necessary to coordinate regional initiatives.
The main objectives of the platform are to optimize regional spending on the introduction of artificial intelligence and prevent duplication of pilot projects. The system will allow you to take into account the accumulated experience and follow the developed protocols for the implementation of AI solutions.
A centralized approach to coordinating AI projects will speed up the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in the public sector, reduce budget expenditures and minimize the risks of unsuccessful initiatives.
Representatives of the apparatus of Dmitry Grigorenko announced plans to develop standard federal AI services that will be available to all regions of the country. The line of services will cover a wide range of tasks of public administration.[1]
