Rospatent has integrated the Sintelli platform into its information system

2025: Implementation of the Sintelli platform

The Federal Intellectual Property Service, the Skolkovo Innovation Center and Sintelli (part of the Nanosemantics Group of Companies) have teamed up to create a domestic search platform for chemical structures. This was announced by Nanosemantics on September 23, 2025.

One of the important areas of work of Rospatent is the examination of applications for inventions. Experts conduct an information search to establish the compliance of the application with the conditions of patentability. Until 2022, leading foreign information resources were used for patent searches on chemical structures. After the departure of a number of foreign companies, the task arose to create and implement domestic tools for conducting such an examination in the field of chemistry and medicine.

As a contractor, Rospatent chose the Sintelli company (part of the Nanosemantics Group of Companies), the developer of the modular AI platform of the same name for the tasks of organic and medical chemistry. With grant support from the Skolkovo Foundation, specialists from Rospatent and Sintelli developed and implemented a system whose technological search is not inferior to foreign counterparts.

A personalized approach and operational refinement of the solution for the customer's tasks made the patent search process more efficient. The Data Base been greatly expanded by FIPS sources, developed search mechanisms cover all possible scenarios for experts, and combined search conditions and the use of various filters allow you to quickly find relevant documents related to specific chemical compounds. The platform saves search history, search results, supports different data input formats. It is fully integrated into the information system of Rospatent, provides monthly updates and support for current tasks in the examination of applications for inventions.
