2025: Construction of a plant for the production of smart electric meters in the Moscow region for ₽250 million

In the special economic zone "Dubna" launched the production of intelligent electricity metering devices. Rokip has received permission to commission a two-story production building with an investment of over ₽250 million. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva in September 2025.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region, the company specializes in the production of smart electric meters and devices for transferring data to automated systems of energy companies. Almost 40 jobs will be created at the new plant. Production activities are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2025. The new enterprise will develop and produce modern electrical equipment. The company "Rokip" is a resident of the special economic zone of the technical and innovative type "Dubna." The production complex is located on the territory of the science city and is equipped with modern technological equipment.

Intelligent metering devices provide automatic transmission of electricity consumption readings. The devices are capable of measuring electric power quality parameters and supporting operation with several tariff plans. Smart meters allow operators to remotely execute load-shedding commands and monitor consumption modes.

The use of modern metering devices automates the process of monthly billing to consumers. The systems help to identify areas of the network with increased power losses, including cases of unauthorized consumption. Technologies contribute to effective planning of repair work of power grid equipment.^[1]
