2025: Transfer of SDN-media network under the control of the domestic system

The group of companies Tekom"" took part in a conference TAdviser held on October 29, 2025 in., To Moscow Alexander Mikheev Director for Development of Tekom Group of Companies, made a report and spoke about a large-scale project to introduce a unified infrastructure management and monitoring system for JSC "" Sinterra Media based on. domestic software CISUSS

The solution was an example of import substitution in a critical area - television broadcasting - and a demonstration of centralized management of the SDN media network using a domestic international solution.

Before the start of the project, the Synterra Media IT landscape was extremely complex: about 10,000 pieces of equipment of 100 types. The SDN network is a key element of the infrastructure for flexible route rearrangement and high fault tolerance. Management was carried out through a foreign system, and control over the state of the network was fragmented between more than 20 monitoring systems. This created fragmentation, slowed down the response to incidents and made it difficult to further develop the media network.

To control and develop the SDN media network, a Russian scalable solution was required, capable of managing a heterogeneous infrastructure without being tied to a specific equipment manufacturer. To implement the project in the shortest possible time, a system was required that had already confirmed its effectiveness in the market.

The customer chose Tekom and its CISUSS platform the Russian , the NMS system included in. register of domestic software Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Successful implementations of CISUSS on other heterogeneous networks, the company's expertise in the media and telecom industries, as well as the availability of round-the-clock technical support allowed Tekom to become a partner for the implementation of a project of this level.

CISUSS is a Russian control and monitoring system, was specially adapted to the tasks of Sinterra Media and supplemented by its own SDN orchestration module, capable of managing routes through SDN switches Centec and Nevion using the OpenFlow protocol, as well as video adaptation equipment from MediaLinks, StreamLabs and others.

During the report, Alexander Mikheev demonstrated the achieved results. The project was implemented with strict requirements: 99.99% availability, compliance with information security standards and readiness to be included in the perimeter of the Critical Information Infrastructure (CII). The solution operates in hot standby and geographically distributed cluster mode.

Introduction of TsISUSS allowed to execute quantum leap in management of a SDN media network. From two days to 10 minutes, the time to launch new services has been reduced. Instead of 20 monitoring systems and several management systems of foreign production, monitoring and management of all infrastructure elements is carried out from a single point. 25% of shift employees were transferred to other tasks thanks to automation, thereby optimizing operating costs.

Thanks to active collaboration with experts from Sinterra Media, the project was transformed into a product solution - a media signal orchestrator.

The implemented project is a demonstration of the maturity of the Russian media industry. We moved from fragmentary control to a single digital panel, where everything is visible, everything is manageable, everything is predictable. CISUSS has become not just a "box," but a living ecosystem adapted to the real business tasks of the client, - said Alexander Mikheev, Development Director of Tekom Group of Companies.

We are developing the largest SDN media network in Russia - technologically complex, geographically distributed and important for the industry. Thanks to the work of our team, together with Tekom specialists, we managed to introduce a unified management and monitoring system that meets the requirements of the sovereignty, resiliency and scalability of the modern media infrastructure, "said Alexander Streltsov, Deputy General Director for Business Transformation and Development of Synterra Media JSC.
