2025: Production Launch
Cognitive Pilot has launched production of the Cognitive Terra Sense complex for automated analysis of soil composition and condition. Device allows to measure physical and chemical parameters of soil for formation of optimal technological map of plants cultivation. This was announced by the press service "Cognitive Pilot" on November 14, 2025.
This is the first device of this class in Russia and has no analogues. The production of Cognitive Terra Sense is carried out at the first robotic factory in Russia - the Cognitive Pilot division in Tomsk. All unique soil composition sensors are designed by Russian engineers.
The key problem of Russian agricultural enterprises was the impossibility of obtaining operational data on the physicochemical parameters of the soil. This indicator is extremely necessary for farmers to understand the pattern of zonal distribution of fertilizers within the field boundaries for their subsequent point application.
Traditional soil analysis tools involve sampling mechanisms and their subsequent transfer to specialized laboratories. The process can take up to two weeks and has a high cost - from ₽3 thousand to ₽5,5 thousand per sample or more. This state of affairs did not allow us to talk about mapping the physicochemical composition of fields with a sufficient frequency of measurements.
In 2022, the Cognitive Pilot company won the competition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for the development of the Cognitive Terra Sense project and its preparation for serial production in Russia based on domestic electronic components. The competition was held within the framework of the state program "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation."
Cognitive Terra Sense tests were carried out in eight regions of Russia, including the Belgorod region, the Siberian region, the Tambov region and others. Testing has shown the effectiveness of the device in various climatic conditions and soil types.[1]
