2025: Launch of a new plant for the production of gas turbine equipment for 1 billion rubles in Tatarstan
On November 19, 2025, the first stage of the plant for the production and repair of gas turbine equipment was commissioned on the territory of the Turbine industrial park in Zelenodolsk. The total investment in the construction of the plant exceeded 1 billion rubles.
According to the press service of the head of Tatarstan, the project was implemented by the Amkor group of companies. The launch ceremony was attended by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The company was created to solve the strategic tasks of import substitution in the energy industry. Advanced technologies for the repair and manufacture of gas turbine components have been introduced at the production site, including the use of additive technologies (3D printing).
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the new plant is of promising importance for ensuring the energy security of Tatarstan: "Technologies for the restoration and operation of existing (turbines) have been developed here, and most importantly, it is very important for our country to build new gas machines."
According to Nikita Markelov, Managing Director of Amkor Group of Companies, the company's development strategy provides for a phased localization of production until 2030, with a key task in organizing the production of gas turbine plants in Tatarstan.
It is expected that the plant in Zelenodolsk, the construction of which started in 2023, will provide a full cycle of maintenance and repair of imported gas turbines on the territory of the Russian Federation, which will contribute to energy security and sustainable development of the energy industry.
Amkor intends to implement the project in three stages. The first involves localization of restoration repair of components of gas turbine plants; the second - organization of production of hot path elements; the third is the launch of the 25 and 42 MW gas turbine aggregation and testing section.
The company plans to create more than 220 jobs. Agreements have already been concluded with eight residents of the industrial park.[1]
