2025: NAICE 1.0 with Access Control Role Model

Eltex released a major update to the NAICE 1.0 system on November 20, 2025.

In 2025, the vendor has updated the NAICE network access control system several times in several areas. TACACS + support appeared in the spring, then the ability to control Wi-Fi networks through the built-in guest portal (Captive Portal) expanded.

These releases became the foundation for the main update - version 1.0. It includes features that meet current corporate network security requirements and prepare the system for further evolution.

NAICE has learned how to transfer security event information to external SIEM systems. This allows you to combine data from different sources, identify threats and incidents in a timely manner, and automate attack detection processes.

The update implements a role-based access control model. Administrators can flexibly distribute rights between team members, assign roles with predefined permission sets, and differentiate access to NAICE subsystems. The system records the operations performed on the NAICE interface. This feature helps to investigate information security incidents and provides control over changes in configurations.

Systems are supported distribution in the form of an OVA image with a web panel that simplifies the installation of certificates, configuration, import and export of backups and NAICE configurations. For a quick start, just download the image of the virtual machine and run it without additional installations software:,. Ansible Docker

Also among other improvements to version 1.0: logging and storing endpoint sessions in the database; upgrading PostgreSQL from version 15 to version 17; Updated web interface on Protocol UI the ability to clone authorization profiles.
