The tallest TV tower in the world is Tokyo Skytree, located in Japan. The Ostankino TV tower in Russia ranks fourth in this indicator. TAdviser got acquainted with the rating of the highest TV buildings at the end of November 2025.
Tokyo Skytree is located in the Sumida district of Tokyo. The tower is 634 meters high - the third tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa skyscrapers (828 meters) and Merdeka 118 (678.9 meters). Tokyo Skytree serves for television and radio broadcasting, and is a popular tourist attraction with two viewing platforms, offering panoramic views of the city. At the foot of the tower is the Tokyo Solamachi Mall with more than 300 shops and restaurants, as well as a planetarium and aquarium.
In second place in the ranking is the 600-meter Canton Tower TV tower in Guangzhou in China: it is equipped with glazed and open viewing platforms on different levels with panoramic views of the city, as well as rotating restaurants. The CN Tower television tower with a height of 553.3, built in Toronto (Canada, Ontario), closes the top three: its feature is an astronomical observatory at an altitude of 447 meters.
Ostankino TV tower in Moscow was opened in 1967. This is the tallest structure in Europe - 540.1 meters. The tower serves as the main telecommunications center of Russia, as well as a popular attraction with viewing platforms and a rotating restaurant.
