2025: IT Infrastructure Localization

The Automobile Technologies plant (PSMA Rus) in Kaluga localized its IT infrastructure in the Russian Federation in a short time. The project was implemented in an emergency mode after separation from the parent company and loss of access to critical services. In a few months, the company, with the support of the cloud provider K2 Cloud (a division of K2Tex), not only restored its performance, but also laid the foundation for the development of a modern hybrid IT architecture. K2Tekh announced this on November 26, 2025.

It was very important for the customer to build a fault-tolerant IT infrastructure and remain seamless in the process of transferring accounting and personnel management systems from France to Russia. With the support of PROF-IT GROUP, a set of integrable standard 1C solutions was successfully implemented: the Corporation, in particular, 1C:ERP Holding Management, as well as MES and WMS systems developed by PROF-IT GROUP on the 1C platform. The technical solution is based on the K2 Cloud cloud platform. By successfully implementing, more than 300 office employees were able to continue their work without downtime.

2024 was a period of deep technological transformation for us. The priority was to restore the full production cycle - from large to small assembly, as well as the operational localization of IT solutions and the transfer of critical services to the cloud for uninterrupted work of employees. This required scaling the entire IT infrastructure and adapting it to ever-increasing production loads. We have gone from almost zero operational readiness to a complete recovery of all processes. K2 Cloud helped us significantly in this, whose specialists found solutions even in non-standard situations. Thanks to the joint work, we managed to create a modern, reliable and secure IT infrastructure that will ensure the sustainable development of the enterprise in the future, "said Evgeny Nesterenko, Chief information officer of PSMA Rus.

In the few months since the start of the project, the infrastructure has been scaled up 4 times. This allowed you to deploy an advanced configuration with additional backup, performance monitoring, and data breach protection services. After localizing key services and increasing channel capacity, it was possible to reduce the number of incidents associated with system failures to almost zero.

As of November 2025, the K2 Cloud retains the operation of the 1C ERP system, which allows you to flexibly scale resources for growing loads, for example, at the close of the month. For production systems requiring maximum control, the customer decided to build a local infrastructure. The built hybrid model, which includes a firewall in the cloud, allows the company to securely connect branches in Kaluga and Moscow and provide remote access for employees.

Our task was to provide the customer not just with infrastructure, but with a flexible and reliable tool for the business. The hybrid model, combining cloud scalability for ERP systems and local fault tolerance for production processes, ideally formed the basis for their digital transformation in new realities, said Angelica Zakharova, head of 1C and K2 Cloud cybersecurity practices.
