SoftBalance automated the operation of the Neva Metal Dishes warehouse complex using 1C: WMS

2025: Automation of warehouse operation in St. Petersburg

The SoftBalance company has automated the operation of the warehouse complex of Neva Metal Dishes JSC with the help of 1C: WMS. SoftBalance announced this on December 9, 2025.

Neva Metal Utensils JSC is one of the manufacturers of non-stick cast aluminum utensils. The company's products are represented throughout Russia and in more than 10 countries of the world.

The warehouse complex of JSC NMP is located in St. Petersburg and consists of 2 separate storage facilities with a total area of ​ ​ 3000 m2. The number of active item items is more than 3000, the number of storage locations is 3660. The main part of the product has serial numbers. The occupancy of storage areas is maximum.

The emergence of an additional warehouse, the expansion of the assortment and the growth of sales, the lack of space for storing collected orders before sending them to customers - all this prompted the management of NMP JSC to decide to automate logistics processes based on WMS.

The system "1C:Enterprise 8. WMS Logistics. Warehouse Management, "which meets all the requirements of NMP JSC for the new warehouse accounting tool. SoftBalance was the contractor.

The main goals of the project are to organize targeted storage in the premises of the warehouse complex, minimize the impact of the human factor on warehouse processes and reduce the time for adaptation of new employees.

I would like to note the following non-typical solutions made by specialists of SoftBalance Group during the project:

• Pallets coming from remote production in the Pskov region have a group serial number and are accepted by trust - one scan;
• A tool has been developed for the interactive distribution of goods planned for selection between pallets, which allows you to customize the procedure for walking and assembling into pallets, according to the requirements of network customers, without subsequent reassembly.

Implementation "1C:Enterprise 8. WMS Logistics. Warehouse Management "revision 5.1 allowed Neva Metal Utensils to reduce the influence of personnel on all warehouse operations - now it is not necessary to remember the position of products in the warehouse, since operational information on the task is displayed on the shipping documentation screen. Also, the time spent on training new employees has decreased. By using the area summarization function, storage areas are used more efficiently.

This system has been set up, modified and started without stopping the warehouse. Address storage is organized throughout the warehouse complex, which helped to speed up the assembly of orders and reduce the number of errors, and accounting for the implementation of all warehouse operations in the system ensures operational control of employee employment. It became possible to conduct an inventory using shipping documentation (selective or complete), without interfering with the performance of other tasks.

After commissioning, NMP JSC continues to cooperate with specialists of SoftBalance Group of Companies and further improve the warehouse complex management system.
