2025: Product Announcement
On December 5, 2025, Chinese manufacturer electronic engineers Midea Group introduced Miro U, a humanoid industrial. robot The device has six bionic hands and is designed to perform tasks of sorting and manipulating objects in production.
The robot, dubbed a "superhumanoid" by the manufacturer, represents Midea's third generation of robotics developments. Its design, which includes a humanoid head and torso, is installed on a mobile wheel-walking chassis. As Wei Chiang, vice president and CTO of Midea Group, explained, this design overcomes the limitations of human physiology and is focused on maximum operational efficiency.
Miro UThe robot's functionality is ensured by the multitasking of its hands: the lower ones fix or support objects, and the upper ones perform accurate operations to capture, sort or move. The chassis provides maneuverability, including 360-degree rotation in place. The working tools are designed to quickly change modules, which allows you to adapt the device to work with various objects.
The company assured that the pilot project is being implemented at the end of December 2025 at the Midea washing machine plant in Wuxi. The robot will be involved in logistics operations on the production line. According to Midea experts, the use of MIRO U will increase the efficiency of changing the line by 30%.
As noted by Humanoids Daily, the presentation of Miro U outlined a strategy for separating Midea's robotic lines. Industrial robots are available under the Miro series, and service models for commerce and everyday life - under the Meila series. The latter, which are at the final stage of testing, are intended for tasks such as working with coffee machines or navigating in stores.[1]
