Bento

Bento is the personal database. On sale versions of Bento 4 for Mac, Bento 1.1 for iPhone and Bento 1.1 for iPad are available.

One of the most significant changes implemented in the new version of Bento 4.0 is the built-in support of printing of labels. Developers turned on in structure of a product templates ready for printing more than two and a half hundred labels from Avery and DYMO and also creations of own templates and their export gave to users an opportunity. The user can add to each record the separate image (for example, a picture or the QR code) that extremely simplifies creation of the inventory tags or badges issued to conferees.

In the version of Bento 4 there were additional tools and functions allowing to share the model of own database and its contents with colleagues and friends or with the whole world. The new feature of "Export Template with Data" will allow to organize the general access to the template filled with specific content. The user templates (without data) which, according to their creators can be useful to other associates, it is also possible to load a one click on the button into on-line library Bento Template Exchange.

Not less demanded innovation is also support of "geotags". The new field of Location allows to save information on location of the user at the time of creation of record or its modification. This new functionality can be useful to specialists in the most different industries, for example for "field" researchers, direct-sales representatives and organizers of sociological polls. Coordinates can be entered manually or in the automatic mode on the basis of indications of WiFi or the GPS module. Users will also be able to use for collecting of geographical information of the device with the set mobile version of Bento, and afterwards to perform synchronization of data with the computer.

Separate mentioning is deserved by the implemented possibility of blocking of forms, for the purpose of prevention of subsequent changes. For accomplishment of this transaction the icon with the image of the lock in the right part of a dashboard is used. It is possible to unblock a form repeated clicking the same button.

In new versions of Bento for the iPhone smartphones and the iPad tablet computers support of voice notes is implemented. So small audio-fragments which can be attached to any entry in the database are called. Voice notes can be synchronized between desktop and the IOS-VERSION of Bento. Users are also provided to estimate a possibility of synchronization of calendars of iCal, an editing tool of the data presented in the list form on the display of the mobile phone, an expanded multitasking support and closer compatibility with iPhone Retina displays.
