2025: Transition to the eXpress platform

Sportmaster has transferred corporate communications to the secure eXpress platform. More than 10,000 employees of Sportmaster and partner companies around the world use the company's own branded application based on eXpress as a convenient and safe tool for communication and collaboration. Unlimited Production announced this on December 23, 2025.

The scale of the Sportmaster company, which manages several different retail chains, as well as distribution divisions, and the wide geographical distribution of teams required the introduction of online communication tools in a synchronous format - chats, calls and video conferencing. Earlier, Sportmaster tested both foreign and domestic corporate communications systems, but none of them was able to fully meet the high business requirements and user needs. In addition, none of the systems provided the reliable client and technical support necessary for such a large-scale and geographically distributed company.

In 2024, the project of user migration to the eXpress platform began. Among the important criteria for choosing are an intuitive interface, functionality and compliance with high information security standards. In a record time for a project of this scale, eXpress created its own branded application of the company, available for download in popular storefronts, browser and desktop formats. The solution was deployed in a secure private cloud that met high security and performance requirements.

For users in a branded application based on eXpress, the following are available:

  • Chats, channels, threads, reactions, statuses, polls, reminders - all functions of a modern corporate messenger;
  • Calls 1-1 and group audio calls;
  • Video conferencing with recording, screen display and other familiar tools;
  • Chatbots for automating business processes;
  • Communication Protocol Federation, which allows you to interact both with other corporate users of eXpress and partner companies, and with public users of the messenger - contractors and customers.

For a corporation on a scale like ours, we simply need a reliable and fully functional communication platform that seamlessly fits into production processes. In the eXpress solution, we got these opportunities. Communication takes place in chats, and at VKS meetings, and through the exchange of files - and all this is under the control of our information security direction, - commented the head of the implementation project Alexander Varshitsky.

As a result, in a short time, Sportmaster already at the beginning of 2025 transferred over 10,000 employees to its own branded communications application. At the end of 2025, more than 15,000 calls are made daily on the platform with the participation of, on average, seven specialists, users send and receive more than 55,000 messages.

Further plans to develop the functionality of Sportmaster's own application include testing SmartApps, which integrate with various corporate systems and services. The most popular of them are the Mail and Calendar smartapps. In addition to them, the customer considers smartapps to automate processes specific to the retail industry. Their implementation will improve the interaction between departments and provide convenient access to the necessary services in a single interface.
