As well as in many other organizations before implementation of an ECM system in MEK LLC for joint work with documents were used the systematized file storage and e-mail; any uniform approach to task management did not exist. Dynamic development of the company, permanent increase in amounts of works and, respectively, number of the processed files and documents demanded increase in efficiency and implementation of modern technologies for work with information. Among the main objectives formulated by company management for the implemented system – automation of the general document flow, creation of uniform corporate storage of documents and unstructured information, automation of accounting of agreements and customer relationship management (CRM). As the most appropriate solution allowing to automate all listed tasks a system "was selected by eDocLib: An asset Business", constructed on the eDocLib platform of Electronic Office Systems company (Moscow).
The box version of the eDocLib 2.5 ECM system provides wide functionality on the organization of joint work with corporate information and workflow automation. Besides, it can be used by independent developers for creation of own products on the basis of the eDocLib platform.

The product allows to automate key business processes of small and medium business, including, managerial document flow, work with agreements, customer relationship management (CRM), work of customer service (helpdesk) and has, as well as the eDocLib platform, a unique ratio "price / functionality" and a possibility of a fast configuration according to needs of the user.
At the first stage of implementation "eDocLib: An asset Business" in "the International Energy Company" the research of the general and commercial document flow which allowed to formalize documentary and information flows was conducted. Further specialists of Corporate Systems — Consulting company was necessary configuring and setup "are performed by eDocLib: An asset Business" according to results of a research.
Since 2011 accounting and management of all agreements and documents in MEK company is conducted using "eDocLib: Asset Business". The basic CRM functions implemented in a system gave an opportunity to the sales department to automate work with the acting and potential customers, to consider possible transactions, requests of potential clients, planning and carrying out work with them in a single system. Easy integration with Microsoft Outlook allowed to register automatically correspondence of employees with partners together with primary documents (agreements, commercial offers, etc.).
Thanks to the utility of loading in eDocLib of the existing archive of electronic documents by the time of start of a system in operation all significant documents were collected in uniform storage.
Speaking about the first results of implementation, Vitaly Morgunov, the marketing director of "IEC", noted: "… a system allows to bring order to document flow, to solve a problem of timely and high-quality accomplishment of instructions. In plans for the future – automation using "eDocLib: An asset Business" the main business processes work-related with different technical documentation. Implementation options in the system of uniform storage of engineering documents are considered: technical justifications, drawings, specifications, results of preproject inspections, etc. At the same time the archive of electronic documents is going not only to create, but also to ensure collective functioning with documents, their approval, task management and control of execution. At the same time all technical documentation will be dynamically connected with other documents of the company – commercial offers, agreements, preliminary requests of potential clients, etc.
