The public institution Gosinform and the general contractor of the project — Technoserv group started a closing stage of works on creation of the data processing center (DPC) of technopark Mordovia.
Need and security
Data-processing center in Saransk — the key project for infrastructure of the Mordovian technopark, says Technoserv. The center is designed according to the Tier IV standard on Uptime Institute classification. Three independent fiber lines (fiber-optic communication line), everyone are brought by capacity of 10 Gbps to data-processing center that provides uninterrupted data transmission, high capacity, sure work of own network and infrastructure of residents and commercial clients.
Technical details
Initial capacity of data-processing center is about 110 standard server racks, power supply (1 group, special category) is organized from four independent sources with power about 2.5 MW/hour. The uninterrupted operation of functioning of data-processing center is maintained by more than 20 specialized systems, such as: the system of the guaranteed power supply, maintenance of temperature moisture conditions, automatic control of computer systems and the engineering systems, fire protection and also the system of information and physical security including including video status monitoring of each unit of the installed customer premise equipment.
Solution
The data-processing center is completely designed by specialists of Technoserv on the hardware of IBM of the last generation, and telecommunication infrastructure is constructed based on a switching platform for DPC of Cisco Nexus. As expected, the data-processing center will allow to minimize costs of residents for carrying out research, all-design and project works, marketing researches and the organization of interaction with consumers at early stages of development of production due to outsourcing of information and telecommunication functions and the organization of collective use of expensive software and hardware complexes.
Services
Terminal access to the personified virtual machines turned on a highly reliable server farm will be provided to residents of technopark that will allow them to have access to own information resources and programs from any place in the world having Internet connection emphasized in Technoserv. Such interaction will be performed on the closed (encoded) virtual channels allowing to transfer personal data and confidential information. At the same time residents will be able to refuse the organization and the maintenance of expensive IT services. Besides, need of repair and replacement of an obsolete equipment, expansion and narrowing of the computer park, management of the license relations, updates and settings of software products, etc. will disappear. The organization of collective use of software products will allow to solve a problem of increase in efficiency of their use due to minimization of a downtime.
DPC
At the same time, DPC services will be offered external users: lease of places in a rack (collocation); lease of servers (dedicated) and hardware maintenance of users; providing computer infrastructure as services (IaaS) based on virtual machines of users through terminal access both on open, and on protected to channels; providing access to the software of collective use based on the SaaS model.
Final of the project and its results
The Technoserv company announced on July 16, 2013 project completion on creation of an umbrella monitoring system of the Information Complex of Technopark in the field of high technologies of the Republic of Mordovia for Public institution Gosinform.
List
Within the project the Technoserv company performed a complex of works, since design and finishing with implementation of a hardware and software system of a monitoring system and scheduling of the Data processing center of "Technopark Mordovia".
The solution is created on the basis of three software products:
- EMC Ionix (monitoring of availability of all components of IT infrastructure of DPC),
- EMC APG (accumulation of statistics and performance review)
- VMware vCenter Operations Enterprise (intellectual monitoring of performance and capacities of objects of virtual environment of VMware).
During the project the contractor develops and implements the add-on modules integrating a new system into the existing IT landscape of data center, training of specialists of DPC is provided, technical support of a system is provided.
Result
The implemented system represents round the clock working uniform command center infocommunication infrastructure of all technology complex of DPC. It allows dispatching service to provide operational continuous quality control of work of all technology elements of DPC "Technopark Mordovia": computing and network equipment, storage systems, engineering equipment.
On monitors of managers information is output in the evident graphic form allowing to see as an IT complex status in general and by different technology and space segments with the different detail level. In addition to the standard console with the list of abnormal events, a large number of the different topological representations and dynamic panels which are visually displaying different information on a status and the quality level of work of IT services and elements of IT infrastructure of DPC "Technopark Mordovia" is provided in a system.
The constructed system has the modular distributed structure, provides a scaling option and performance improvements. At accurate observance of the diagram of scheduled works, the implemented solution architecture allows to reach indicators reliability coefficient not less than 0.9999.
