To start creation and change of contents, it is not necessary to set the software, to study work with it and also to read the managements. Besides, all employees can monitor changes in the interesting areas without effort. The solution Kerio Workspace to which it is always possible to get access through the web browser helps to organize projects and to arrange contents. Some companies can use it as the central file store with a possibility of control and commenting of versions.

The functionality of space, i.e. opportunity to create and store contents and also to provide to it the general access directly on web pages is more important for other enterprises. According to creators of the program, success of joint work depends on efficiency of communication therefore the solution Kerio Workspace supports news feeds using which the employee can notify colleagues on the contents and the nature of the changes made to documents.

The solution Kerio Workspace intended for collectives, the working groups and also the small and medium enterprises contains useful functions which only difficult products of a corporate class with the high cost of ownership had earlier: the organization of files, the general access to contents, editing documents, monitoring of changes, viewing on devices iPhone and iPad.

The solution Kerio Workspace can be purchased in 16 languages at the authorized partners and resellers of Kerio company. The license for five users costs from $150. The price of additional licenses is $30 for each user.

Kerio Workspace 1.1

The Kerio Technologies company provided in September, 2011 the first updating of the online environment for collective work and exchange of content under the name Kerio Workspace 1.1. Support of the new mobile interface optimized for devices with touch screens including the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones became the main difference of the new version. Now mobile users will be able to browse also easily content, to pass between pages and to glance over a personal news feed.

The first version of the Kerio Workspace environment was started in March, 2011. Lately developers optimized the client interface for the most fast-growing part of the audience – mobile users. Actually, based on Kerio technology small and medium-sized companies can build with the minimum costs of means and forces own this cloud system for instant access to content which in a subsoil corporate the intranet network was hidden earlier.

The Kerio Workspace 1.1 technology supplied with new features of access and new security aids is available to corporate customers in the form of cloud and local solution. Besides, this platform is perfectly integrated with environments of virtualization of VMware. More interactive, than service of file transfer, more clear, than the majority of the so-called systems of collective work available today, the Kerio Workspace environment allows to create and systematize easily pages for exchange of documents, texts, a multimedia content, etc.

In 6 months since launch more than 300 organizations and more than 10,000 users – using solutions based on this technology became clients of Kerio Workspace already, for example, all personnel of department or group can quickly submit the materials and a statement. Among new opportunities in Kerio Workspace 1.1, except a full support of the devices iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, it is possible to note function of duplication of pages – the user can copy easily the page entirely, together with all contents, or only the model with empty elements. At the same time the server will not begin to create all content again, using in the new page only references to initial materials – any element of a system is stored on the server in the single copy.

Also in Kerio Workspace 1.1 unloading of files on the server using drag and drop is implemented – this function is implemented using HTML5 standard opportunities in modern browsers. The new mode of administration of content allows to browse any environments and pages created by users, irrespective of the set access rights. Administrators can define security policies and move the local database of users in a directory service of the Active Directory or Open Directory.

Kerio Workspace 2.0

Kerio Workspace of version 2.0 containing the integrated anti-virus engine of Sophos company the new agent on file synchronization of Kerio Workspace Client who allows users to extend instantly all changes made locally to the files which are stored on a remote server also turns on and to receive the latests version of files which were changed by other users. At the same time all loaded and downloaded files are scanned by Sophos antivirus. For convenience of users on the server all version history of the file is stored that allows to return if necessary to earlier version, says the company.

In addition to an antivirus of Sophos and synchronization of libraries of files, Kerio Workspace 2.0 gives to users the following new features: synchronization of tasks and events — simplifies management of work of a command due to synchronization of key dates and tasks in Kerio Workspace with calendars in "desktop" applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and AppleiCal; the improved support of mobile devices — allows to read and place comments from any smartphone or the tablet computer, and using iPad it is possible to edit text documents, using the built-in text editor; the social user interface — allows users to configure appearance of the pages, as on social networks (a design includes: new types of a background, graphic elements, photos or pictures for the user profiles which are displayed near each published comment now).

Also free version of a product — Kerio Workspace Starter Edition allowing to estimate convenience of using of Workspace in real work is available. The starting version has all functionality of the paid version and does not limit number of users of a product. Data warehouse volume in Starter Edition is limited to 10 GB (for the registered users) or 5 GB (for the non-authorized users).

The standard version of Kerio Workspace 2.0 can function or on own local server of the company, or in "cloud". It is possible to purchase a product at one of partners of Kerio company. The license for Workspace with Sophos antivirus in case of implementation for five users is installed €156 for the first year on the local server. Software Maintenance cost on 5 users is €56. Kerio offers versions of the program for 16 languages of the world.
