2024: Automation of counting during shipment of finished products

At the Kamsky Bacon enterprise, another project was implemented using video analytics - automation of the calculation of semi-carcasses when shipping finished products to vehicles.

The solution is implemented at the loading stage: the Vmx Qualex: Count system calculates half-carcasses moved along the suspended track on hooks when loaded into a truck. The process was previously carried out manually and depended on the attention of personnel, especially in conditions of high shipping speed and dense flow of products.

Video analytics records the passage of each unit through the control zone and generates the total quantity in real time. Computer vision algorithms take into account the features of the scene: intersections of objects, partial overlaps and an unstable trajectory on the suspension. This allows counting without interfering with the existing technological process.

The data obtained can be used for reconciliation with shipping documents and internal accounting systems. This provides an additional level of control during the logistics phase and reduces the possibility of discrepancies between actual and documentary shipments.

The implementation was carried out without changing the infrastructure of the line and did not require a shutdown of the production process. The solution is integrated into the company's operations as a tool for controlling the actual volume of shipment.
