1921: The opening of a permanent theater on the Arbat

November 13, 1921, the permanent theater of the Third Studio of the Moscow Art Theater opened at the address: "Arbat, 26" (where the Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov is still located today). 1913: Creation of the 3rd Moscow Art Theater Studio under the direction of Vakhtangov

At the end of 1913, a group of Moscow students organized the Student Drama Studio (3rd Moscow Art Theater Studio), deciding to engage in theatrical art according to the Stanislavsky system. Yevgeny Bagrationovich Vakhtangov, a thirty-year-old actor and director of the Art Theater, who had already made himself a reputation as the best teacher in the Stanislavsky "system," agreed to lead the classes.
