Project Task
Automation of budget management in TransContainer company - one of key stages of the comprehensive program of control automation by the financial and economic activity of holding initiated by the management of holding.
Need of providing the company with the effective tool for management of financial flows of the company in a foreground mode became a main objective of the project.
Main premises making decision on system implementation:
- lack of effective model of budget management, treasury and controlling;
- repeated duplication of the credentials aggregated in the MS Excel for the purposes of the management reporting and controlling that reduced efficiency of providing data.
As the platform for creation of a budgeting system it was selected the 1C: Consolidation 8 configuration which is intended for automation of a broad spectrum of the managerial tasks connected with preparation, consolidation, the analysis, transformation of the reporting of holdings.
As the partner for accomplishment of the complex project by the customer the Microtest company which successfully performed over 1000 successful implementations of automated control systems in the different industries of business, including based on the solution "1C: Consolidation 8" was selected.
Solution
In TransContainer company specialists Microtest applied the step-by-step strategy of implementation which allowed the customer to receive the working system of budget management in only 2 months after the beginning of the project to project implementation.
Within the first stage of the project experts Microtest performed the following works:
- Audit of the existing budget model developed in the MS Excel format;
- Development of a solution architecture in "1C: Consolidation 8";
- Transfer of the existing budgeting model in in "1C: Consolidation 8";
- User training and commissioning of the received system.
As a result of execution of the first stage of the project the head office "TransContainer" received the solution automating preparation more than 40 operating rooms of budget forms and also the master the budgets and budget forms for activity indicators including up to 50% of settlement indicators with an average size of forms - 80 lines * 60 columns.
The second queue of the project was connected with optimization of budget model and inclusion in the system of all divisions of holding. For this purpose specialists Microtest carried out the following works:
- Development of procedures of management of budget process;
- Modification of the existing budget forms;
- Replication of the solution on branches in the mode of terminal access: collecting and consolidation of operating budgets of branches;
- Loading of actual data from the accounting system.
- Development and automatic filling of budget forms of the analysis of a financial result of holding;
- Development of instruments of status monitoring and sequence of preparation of budgets for all branches.
The second stage of the project was completed in record time - all in a month after the termination of the first stage. The number of users of a system was more than 90 people.
The achieved result
The automated system of budgeting developed by specialists Microtest allowed JSC TransContainer to exercise more effectively control of results of activity of the enterprise, to coordinate work of all its divisions and to do reasonable economic forecasts.
Main achievements of the project:
- twice labor costs decreased by preparation of the reporting,
- duplication of the reporting at the central office and branches of the company is eliminated, there was an opportunity to control FED in all branches online,
- the efficiency of acceptance of management decisions increased.
