NORBIT transferred Department of network integration of LANIT to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009

The Microsoft Dynamics AX system was implemented in the company in 2005. The management of the Department of Network Integration (DNI) of LANIT understood that activities of department for volumes and scales of transactions and the performed operations are comparable to activity of separate company, standard office applications of Microsoft and highly specialized software solutions do not allow to keep effectively the analysis of activity and to plan future works. Then for the purpose of quality improvement of execution of projects and optimization of work of managers the decision on implementation of a large-scale enterprise management system was made. As a software platform it was selected by Microsoft Axapta 3.0, and as service provider the NORBIT company was invited.

The implementation project covered automation of such functional areas as project management regarding accounting of projects and maintaining agreements, inventory management (in particular purchases, inventory accounting and shipments), sales management and finance.

In 2010 in connection with obsolescence of a system, limited opportunities of development and incomplete compatibility with new versions of office applications and operating systems in DSI LANIT the decision on transfer of a system to the latest version of AX 2009 was made.

Within the project of transfer of DSI on the new version of a system the corporate portal was unrolled and the specialized role centers which depending on a role of the employee allow to use effectively both project key performance indicators, and information on a status of the main documents of the project – agreements, project plans, requests for payment, warehouse documents are created.
The NORBIT automated in DSI the business processes specific to system integrators, - management of procedures of replacement of the equipment by analogs that is especially demanded at equipment procurement, and process of a complete set of the specifications necessary at assembly of sets.
Also process of the centralized input of the normative reference information was changed and automated. In particular the application system of input of nomenclature units in the uniform reference book of nomenclatures was implemented that allowed to increase the qualitative level of obtaining the reporting under purchases and sales of goods.

Now in a system about 100 employees of the company, among them – the management of department, economists, sales and purchasing managers, employees of a warehouse at the same time can work.

It became simpler control course of execution and project implementations: important information on a status of transactions is available and evident. By Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 it is closely integrated with the external systems constructed on the platforms SAP, 1C and so forth that allows users to have a single system of input and obtaining information".
