Forecast of growth of interest of investors in system integrators of Eastern Europe
According to the statement of analysts of Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) made on May 8, 2012 the three-year absence period of interest of investors in the companies in emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe approaches the end. Let's remind, on the eve of 2007-2008 strategic and financial investors showed keen interest in local integrators, software developers and even distributors, quite often revaluating them in comparison with competitors in the developed markets. Since 2009, the burst financial crisis turned "booming markets" into "the countries with a high investment risk" earlier.
Certainly, within three years which followed the beginning of crisis several considerable transactions took place, however their cost and conditions strikingly differed from the period of general prosperity. If before acquisition were made for the purpose of the fastest building of a market share or regional presence for service of needs of the western countries with the high level of demand, then now investors began to treat much more selectively transactions, carrying out the careful analysis of positioning of proposed solutions and services and taking only obvious benefits into consideration. In combination with underestimation of assets of the absorbed companies such approach allows to minimize the majority of the risks connected with investment activities.
One more key difference in behavior of investors in Eastern Europe till 2008 consists in change of priorities. Before crisis transactions on absorption of large suppliers with the developed portfolio and extensive staff of specialists were of paramount interest. Since 2009, interests were displaced towards rather small players with whom the minimum management and integration risks are connected. Besides, fast return of investments, steady indicators of profitability, high quality of management, an optimal combination of small and big customers, representatives of the commercial and state organizations began to play much more important role.
Analysts of PAC expect increase in number of absorption and acquisitions in 2012 in the East European region. The markets reached acceptable volume, and steady profitability indicators managed to show many companies within three post-crisis years.
In the Russian market of system integration investment thaw is also observed. For example, at the beginning of 2012 AFK "Sistema" agreed about acquisition of 100% of stocks of NVision Group. According to sources of CNews, shareholders of the Russian integrator IBS look for on it buyers. Sales opportunity is considered by shareholders of Asteros, Rosservice and some other the companies.
