Microsoft will sell keys for software on the Internet

Products of Microsoft in the Russian market can be purchased not only now "in a box" in retail and in network, but also in the form of electronic keys to already set and downloaded software. Sales of keys will be conducted in partner online stores.

The Microsoft company announced the beginning of sales in Russia of electronic licenses (keys) for the products through partner online stores.

The new scheme assumes acquisition by the user of a key of a product online at one of partners, the subsequent downloading of a product from the special website and its installation by means of this key.

Believe in Microsoft that it will be so more convenient to users, and partners will be able to earn more. Since May 17 electronic keys on major versions of Microsoft Office 2010 are online available : Office for the house and study 2010, Office for the house and business 2010, Office professional 2010.

In the second half of this year sales of electronic keys for "Office for Mac 2011", for the Windows 7, Windows Anytime Upgrade operating system, tools for developers will also begin, said in the official statement of Microsoft.

So far sales of electronic keys on software of Microsoft were conducted only through corporate online store MicrosoftStore.ru which was opened in November, 2010 by one of the international partners of corporation — Arvato company.

Now licenses of Microsoft will be on sale also in online stores of the third parties. The first of such partners of steel Softkey, Allsoft.ru, project of Softline company. The last shop will be connected to the program a bit later.

As Pavel Kuzmenko, the representative of Microsoft in Russia noted, the company does attempt to implement electronic licenses via the partner channel in our country for the first time.

As a result three methods of purchase of software of Microsoft will be available to users: in the form of usual "boxes" in retail, in the form of "boxes" on the Internet or in the form of electronic key for activation of already downloaded or set software.

The prices on the website allsoft.ru, softline.ru and on other show-windows of the Siftline directory differ for benefit of electronic keys a little.

For example, Microsoft Office for the house and study of 2010 with delivery to e-mail will cost 2620 rubles, the box - in 2680 rubles, Microsoft Office for the House and Business of 2010 on e-mail will cost 5870 rubles, the box - 5938.5 rubles, and Professional 2010 with delivery to e-mail will cost Microsoft Office 16100 rubles whereas in a box - in 16334 rubles.
