The OZNA joint-stock company put the management system for engineering data of LOTSMAN:PLM integrated with an enterprise management system into trial operation. Works on implementation were performed by ASCON-Ufa company, the platinum partner of ASCON.
JSC OZNA Joint-stock Company (Oktyabrsky, the Republic of Bashkortostan) is the key production division of OZNA multi-business Company releasing the equipment for arrangement of oil and gas fields. Divisions of JSC OZNA provide a full stroke of works on design and production of the oil and gas equipment. Design-technology services, production, service of supply, financial service, service of sales are a part of the enterprise.
Earlier each of services, carrying out the tasks of production preparation, worked in the information environment that affected labor input of data transmission from one environment in another and transparency of the built chain of work of the enterprise. So, design services worked in automated design engineering systems the Compas-Grafik and KOMPAS-3D, and then manually entered data in the existing ERP system for regulation by technology services, at the same time in parallel on paper the sheet on purchase of materials and component parts for service of supply was issued.
Denis Valeryevich Shamenin, the managing director of JSC OZNA, comments on the choice of the partner in automation: "Having taken the direction on the accelerated development of a division of JSC OZNA, we understood that it is necessary to start the organization of a common information space and automation of engineering services of the enterprise as soon as possible. Taking into account positive experience of cooperation with ASCON-Ufa, representing ASCON in the Republic of Bashkortostan, in March, 2010 the decision on system implementation of management of engineering data of LOTSMAN:PLM was made".
Yury Anatolyevich Nikitin, the head of department of a CAD of JSC OZNA and the project manager from the customer, notes: "A main objective of system implementation of management of engineering data for us – increase in efficiency of process of design preparation of production by significant reduction of completion dates of orders, quality improvements of development of design documentation on the basis:
- uses of the single database on the range of products, to reference books Materials and Ranges, Standard Products;
- process of electronic verification approval of design documentation;
- timely transfer of up-to-date data about a product and their changes in the database of an enterprise management system and directly on a production site;
- planning and control of execution of process of design preparation on a product (order), division".
Change of an organization structure of the enterprise introduced the amendments in the project progress: divisions of design preparation were selected in separate business units (divisions of OZNA Company) that could not but be reflected in a PDM system implementation time. But already since the beginning of 2011 works were sped up that allowed to begin in April trial operation of LOTSMAN:PLM in interrelation with an enterprise management system in two main business units of JSC OZNA. At the moment all design engineers of these divisions work in LOTSMAN:PLM, data are transferred to the ERP system automatically using the developed export module.
In the nearest future scaling of a management system for engineering data is planned for other divisions of design preparation of divisions of OZNA Company.
"For a set-up time to trial operation we finally created vision as the interrelation of LOTSMAN:PLM and ERP system by work of the services participating in production preparation should look and how to perform end-to-end planning of preparation of production. – Marat Amirovich Valeev, the deputy managing director for planning explains. – Therefore the new task of development of a planning module and control of the course of development of design documentation is set for group of implementation ASCON-Ufa". The planning module should have the interface – a control panel of the head and the automated workplace of the chief of bureau where information about developed products and nodes on division is concentrated, the available tasks of each designer, change of terms of development of documentation, the actual completion dates of tasks of stages of design development with double-sided information transfer in a production management system for implementation of job order planning.
