i2 CIS and S3 announce completion of EXceed WMS 4000 Warehouse Management System (Infor WM NG) project

Warehouse complex S3 has an area of 7500 square meters. m., working height of ceilings - 8 m., 5 tiers of storage, 41 racks, capacity - about 7200 pallets. The peculiarities of storage are the goods themselves - expensive and requiring special accuracy in storage, loading, configuration and shipment. S3 needed a modern warehouse management system, which was supposed to take into account the shelf life of the goods, serial numbers, the ability to mark pallets with a unique barcode, the ability to support various product statuses (norm, defect, non-condition, reserve, etc.), storage of goods on 5 tiers, while selection is only from the first four tiers, and the 5th has the function of replenishing the rest. During the tender, the company selected the EXceed WMS 4000 (Infor WM NG) system, which fully meets the requirements of S3.

The automation of the S3 warehouse complex was caused by the need to improve the accuracy of warehouse operations, obtain reliable information about the condition of the warehouse, reduce the time for claim work, create a system of motivation for warehouse employees and a number of other factors that directly affect the development of the S3 business.

"The implementation of EXceed WMS 4000 made it possible to optimize the operation of the warehouse complex, minimize the impact of the human factor and increase the accuracy of all warehouse operations," comments Dmitry Losev, Technical Director and Project Manager, S3.

"In addition to EXceed WMS 4000 (Infor WM NG), we also introduced a new reporting system that brought the complex to a new level of warehouse resource planning and management," said Sergey Karminsky, Consulting Director, i2 CIS.
