"BIM standard. Industrial facilities" it is intended for the project organizations and services of the technical customer applying BIM technology in the workflows.
As of August, 2018, the standard is intended for application in the following basic processes:
- development of information requirements to BIM services of the technical customer (terms of reference on BIM);
- planning, the organization and management of the BIM project at the level of the project organization;
- technical implementation of the BIM project at the level of the project organization by award enforcement of Autodesk company. At the same time the standard does not limit application of any other software tools.
The standard can be applied at design and reconstruction:
- industrial enterprises of the mining industry (elevated part);
- industrial enterprises of small-scale power generation;
- transport and warehouse, administrative, household buildings and constructions of the enterprises of nuclear and thermal power, oil and gas, chemical and metallurgical industries (as component of the multiplatform solution);
- other industrial enterprises of small and medium power at which design application of high-level datacentrichny software packages is economically inexpedient.
According to Autodesk company, the standard does not regulate specifics of development and the requirement to structure and structure of an information model on specific discipline (section) of the project of an industrial facility. Provisions of the standard have advisory nature and can be used by the organizations for development of own standards.
The standard considers interrelations with national documents on standardization in the field of information modeling.
2018: Version of standard 1.0
The Autodesk company offered on August 27, 2018 the construction industry the first version of a template of the BIM standard for design of industrial facilities. As you know, in addition to high cost, such objects are more difficult in comparison with civil and have a number of specific differences: for example, existence of a stage of the feasibility statement, large number of requirements (technology, sanitary, ecological, fire-prevention, architectural and construction, etc.) and expensive technology equipment, existence of on-site constructions and networks (platforms, conveyors, etc.) and so forth. It, in turn, leads to use of multiplatform solutions and, as a result, lack of interoperability in the organization between the different solutions used at design and construction of such objects. Existence of a template of the BIM standard is intended to solve this problem, emphasized in the company.
We hope that the BIM standard of the enterprise created on the basis of the offered template will allow to regulate the processes providing creation of the coordinated, approved and up-to-date project and construction information. We are also sure that it will be useful at design of factories of the future — industrial facilities, meaning the maximum digitalization of design processes and production at the minimum use of human resources. The basic terminology, the list of basic BIM tasks which need to be solved at each stage of planning and implementation of the BIM project, basic approaches to the organization of collective work and many other things is given in a template of the BIM standard. As explained in Autodesk, its purpose — to help the companies with optimization and digitalization of business processes and the organization of joint work over the BIM project. The document also contains practical recommendations about implementation of the offered BIM processes using Autodesk Revit and Civil of the 3D and also other solutions entering an industry collection of Autodesk for design and construction of industrial and civil facilities. At the same time, the standard does not limit users in application of other software.
"BIM standard. Industrial facilities. Version 1" is logical continuation and development of a series of open standards of Autodesk regarding application to processes of information modeling of industrial enterprises. The document does not mention global problems of standardization of data models of lifecycle, and sets as the purpose to generalize the accumulated experience and the existing approaches to the organization, planning and ensuring joint work over the BIM project, organizational interoperability and also to prepare recommendations about implementation of processes of information modeling using solutions of Autodesk, the document says. |
The annex to the BIM standard is the template for accomplishment of the work documentation of sections of TH of a stage of P and RD in Autodesk Revit 2018. It contains settings and library elements, including the main architectural and constructive families.
According to representatives of Autodesk, the BIM standard — only the first in a chain of the documents supporting design and construction of factories of the future in Russia. The next step in this direction which is going Autodesk – — to develop the management for the project orderer.
