Infrastructure
Within the project the 30 million tons 1000-kilometer trunk oil pipeline which is coming to an end in Ust-Luga is constructed.
Except the oil pipeline, infrastructure of the project is made by two oil pumping stations in Uneche and Andreapol and also Ust-Luga oil depot.
History
Because of delays in construction of the fourth and fifth mooring of the port of Ust-Luga start of the oil pipeline was repeatedly postponed.
In March, 2012 the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin pressed the symbolical button of start of the second queue of the Baltic Pipeline System (BTS-2). Within test start from the port of Ust-Luga the first tanker ("Nevsky Avenue") with oil goes to export.
The second tanker will leave oil port on Baltika on March 26, 2012. According to the deputy minister of Energy Yury Sentyurin, oil supply rate for export on BTS-2 through Ust-Luga will be in the second quarter 2012 3.6 million tons.
Still in a stage of construction there is an oil terminal in port.
