2018: Announcement of service

At the end of August, 2018 it became known of creation in Finland of service of the order of yachts which will work by the principle of Uber. The application received the name Bout, it was developed by Finn Yoonas Sipari.

According to the Helsingin Sanomat edition, test start of service for transportation on the yacht it is planned for September 8, 2018. It will work at the coast of the Finnish cities of Helsinki and Espoo. It will be possible order the boat or the yacht at the first stage only from the points preestablished for this purpose on moorings.

The analog of Uber for yachts is started

For example, transportations will become possible from a number of places in Helsinki - Katayanokki, the Market square, Lauttasaari, Yatkyasaari or Roukholakhti. In case of successful demand the quantity of such points will be increased several tens. By the end of August, 2018, in addition to Helsinki and Espoo, the place of a stop of such water taxi is, for example, on the island of Vallisaari which recently opened for tourists.

Ten minutes of a trip on the small vessel will manage at least 8 euros. When using larger yachts cost will be higher. Use of service, according to plans of developers, will be limited to the days off, for example, from 9 to 21 o'clock. During the fall data will be collected to finish the annex to spring of 2019.

City authorities support initiative because see in the new application of an opportunity for development of sea tourism.

To provide services of transportation on the water transport, it is necessary to be full age, to know the traffic regulation on water, to have documents on the vehicle. During the fall the new application will be tested on days off. During the experiment it is going to collect data for possible completion of the application before from the beginning of a navigable season in the spring he begins to use more widely.^[1]
