2024: Mobile market growth by 10%. Leaders

The volume of the Georgian mobile market in 2024 reached 864 million lari (about $311 million), which is 10% (or 77.5 million lari) more than a year earlier. This is evidenced by the data of the National Communications Commission of Georgia, which TAdviser got acquainted with in May 2025.

The number of subscribers from mobile operators in Georgia increased by 2% and amounted to 5.6 million active SIM-cards. Thus, almost every second resident of the country has two phone numbers, according to the report.

The largest mobile operator in Georgia is Magti, which by the end of 2024 had 2.3 million subscribers. The leading "Big Three" of cellular companies in the Georgian market is presented in the infographic prepared by TAdviser.

According to the National Commission for Communications of Georgia, the growth of the cellular market in 2024 is due to the expansion of the subscriber base, as well as a surge in demand for mobile Internet - the income of operators in this segment increased by 19%. As of December 2024, 3.96 million subscribers used mobile Internet in Georgia at least once a month, which is 70% of the total number of users of cellular communications services. By the end of 2023, this share was measured at 68%.

The volume of mobile Internet traffic in Georgia in 2024 increased by 19% and amounted to 670,398 terabytes. By October 2024, one subscriber in the country consumed an average of 15.4 GB of Internet per month, which is 1.56 GB higher than a year ago.

The average revenue per Magti subscriber by the end of 2024 was 15 lari per month, for operators Silknet and Cellfie Mobile - 13.3 and 9.84, respectively. For Magti and Cellfie, ARPU rates rose, while Silknet, by contrast, showed a decline.[1]
