Concert equipment in Russia

2023: The cost of renting concert equipment in Russia increased by 40%

In January-August 2023, the cost of renting concern equipment in Russia increased by up to 40% compared to the same period in 2022. This was announced in early October 2023 to Vedomosti by the organizers of spectacular events - the NCA group of companies (organized this year the Summer Without the Internet festivals Sam.Fest, Arsenyev Live) and the Ildar Bakeev Entertainment concert agency (cooperates with Pelageya, the Moral Code group, etc.).

The increase in the cost of renting equipment for concerts, according to the president of the NCA Group of Companies Mikhail Shurygin, amounted to 10-30%. Ildar Bakeev, the general director of the agency of the same name, noticed an increase of 10-15% in those cases when the equipment was mainly provided by the site itself and only "point addition" was required, by 20-40% - in all other cases. The fact that equipment rental has become "a little more expensive" was also reported by the general director of the Empire of Music company (collaborates with Elena Temnikova, Denis Matsuev, etc.) Tabriz Shahidi, but did not disclose his estimate of price dynamics.

The cost of renting concert equipment in Russia for the year increased by 40%

Technical Director of NCA Production Ivan Shurygin linked the increase in the cost of renting equipment for concerts with the rise in price of new equipment that is imported into Russia by parallel import (in particular, sound equipment) or from China (lighting and video equipment). As the main reasons, Shurygin called the increase in the cost of logistics and the growth of the dollar against the ruble - settlements with suppliers are carried out in this currency. Prices for equipment repairs also increased. Most of the spare parts are not imported, the expert emphasized.
