2023: Mishustin approved a strategy for the development of congress and exhibition activities until 2030
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree approving the strategy for the development of congress and exhibition activities until 2030. The corresponding document was published in mid-September 2023. The text of the strategy and the order of the government of September 13, 2023 No. 2461-r
According to the press service of the Cabinet, the main goal of the strategy for the development of congress and exhibition activities is to increase the efficiency of promoting Russian goods and services, as well as the results of scientific and educational activities to domestic and foreign markets through exhibitions, congresses and forums.
Achieving this goal involves solving a number of application problems. Among them are improving the quality and availability of congress and exhibition services, training personnel, improving the system of collecting and analyzing statistical data, as well as creating and developing congress and exhibition infrastructure.
It is planned to increase the level of exhibitions, forums and congresses through the development of a system of quality standards for organizing events. In addition, the strategy involves the creation of a self-regulatory structure that will deal with voluntary accreditation of congress and exhibition operators. Its functions will include assigning quality marks to specific organizations and objects.
The document also provides for the formation by the Russian regions of their programs for the development of the congress and exhibition industry, the creation and promotion of local exhibition and fair brands.
To expand the circle of foreign participants in Russian forums, congresses and exhibitions, an electronic personalized card of a participant in congress and exhibition events - Expo ID can be developed. Such a decision is expected to simplify customs and visa procedures for guests.
It is planned to ensure the training of highly qualified industry specialists by updating existing and developing new educational standards. In addition, the strategy spelled out the creation of a monitoring system - it will make it possible to predict the need for personnel in the medium term.
