Day of the inventor and rationalizer — on June 28

This holiday was entered in the late fifties the last century according to the offer of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Originally it represented the Soviet similarity of award of the Nobel Prize. On June 25 the Academy of Sciences considered all improvement suggestions made for last year and selected the best. The caused a stir inventors were awarded, presented the state awards, gave ranks. Eventually the holiday lost the initial value, having become just "professional" holiday of the inventors and rationalizers working for the Homeland benefit.
