2025: National Project Launch

At the end of January 2025, the general director of the Roscosmos Group of Companies, Iouri Borisov, announced the start of the national project "Development of a multi-satellite orbital group" in 2025, the purpose of which is to create a group of 650 spacecraft by 2030.

The national project includes five federal projects. The Sphere includes five satellite communication networks and five orbital constellations for remote sensing of the Earth.

One of the most important tasks of the project is the creation of the Amur-LNG space rocket system with a reusable medium-class launch vehicle Amur. The production of an experimental sample of the reusable first stage will begin in 2025.

Oleg Mansurov, General Director of SR Space JSC, confirmed the company's participation in the preparation of the national project. According to him, Russia has the necessary reserve to achieve all the goals set within the specified time frame.

Sergei Pekhterev, a shareholder of KA-Internet JSC, noted that the project will include the Express RV, Skif, Marathon satellite systems, GLONASS satellites, the Gonets group and other spacecraft.[1]
