2024: IT system launched in Kazakhstan to determine the suitability of conscripts for military service
In early April 2024, it became known that a specialized IT system was launched in Kazakhstan to determine the suitability of conscripts for military service. We are talking about an electronic database that is integrated with government departments. The project was called the "Digital Military Registration and Enlistment Office."
According to the resource 24KZ (www.24.kz), the project is designed to bring modern technologies to the military registration and enlistment offices. It is said that such structures as of the beginning of 2024 do not sufficiently apply digital IT solutions. In particular, doctors of the medical commission collect and issue data on conscripts manually, which takes a lot of time. The new platform will solve the problem: it is integrated with the database of the Ministry of Health, which makes it easier to select candidates for military service.
If we open dispensary records, we see that the patient is registered in Shymkent with rheumatoid arthritis or congenital heart disease. That is, we no longer need to look for outpatient cards, ask the conscript, the conscript does not lose several days. We see all this clearly, - quotes the resource 24KZ the words of the chairman of the draft medical commission of the Almaty district of Astana. |
The system also makes it possible to receive other information about conscripts. This is a place of work, family ties, education and criminal record. It is said that the platform is easy to use - to obtain data, it is enough to make only a few mouse movements.
Special attention is paid to safety when developing the system. It says that the platform is "reliably protected," and therefore the likelihood of data leakage is minimized. The innovation "should also reduce the level of corruption during medical examination."
It didn't take long to build the platform. It existed before, only used it in hospitals and clinics. In this case, the system was simply adapted to the activities of the military registration and enlistment office, - says the publication of the 24KZ.[1] |
