2020: Europe selects to Ukraine 25 million euros for development of electronic state services
At the end of November, 2020 the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine announced that the European Union selects to department 25 million euros for development of electronic state services within the D_ya project and acceleration of digital conversions of the state. It is about the EU4DigitalUA project.
The first contribution in the amount of 9.6 million euros selected within the EU4DigitalUA project will be directed to making government digital infrastructure functional and to build the reliable system of electronic services, says Mintsifra.
The ministry listed the main plans of cooperation of Ukraine with the EU regarding digital transformation:
- development of infrastructure for digital control;
- upgrade of the public electronic services;
- development of cybernetic security and means of protecting of data;
- information visualization about access to the broadband Internet in Ukraine (probably, the speech about the broadband.gov.ua project);
- continuation of connection of the main registers to a data exchange system of Tremb_t;
- development of the nation-wide personal identifier — the state digital identity certificate (apparently, the speech about the SmartID project) and the special register with registration addresses of the residence of citizens;
- development of electronic services on the portal and in application D_ya;
- smart D_ya and development of confidential services;
The EU keeps further development of digital technologies in Ukraine for the purpose of improving competitiveness of the country and assistance to further approach of Ukraine to the Uniform digital market of the EU — the Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine Matti Maasikas noted. |
In the EU also paid attention to the 69th place of Ukraine in the rating of the UN among 193 countries on readiness for the electronic government. Ukraine rose by 16 positions in comparison with the previous edition of the list.[1]
