2024: Sales of drugs for the treatment of enuresis in Russia for the year increased by 21% and reached ₽1,89 billion
The Russian market for drugs for the treatment of enuresis has shown steady growth, reaching sales of ₽1,89 billion in retail prices in 2024, including VAT, which is 21% higher than in 2023. In physical terms, 1.9 million packages of medicines were sold, which represents an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. This is evidenced by data from the analytical company RNC Pharma, published in August 2025.
According to RNC Pharma, in the first half of 2025, Russians purchased more than 1 million packages of drugs for the treatment of enuresis in the amount of over ₽1,1 billion, which is 22.5% more than in the same period of 2024 in monetary terms. Natural consumption during this period increased by 17.1%. Sales of this group of drugs are growing at a double-digit pace for the third year in a row.
The seasonality of consumption of drugs for the treatment of enuresis is characterized by maximum expenses in the spring months and at the end of the year. In December 2024, buyers purchased almost 185 thousand packages worth ₽189,4 million. In 2025, the peak of natural sales was observed in March with the sale of 180 thousand packages worth ₽185,9 million.
The maximum cash consumption was recorded in April 2025, when drugs worth ₽186,7 million were sold in retail. This dynamics reflects the peculiarities of demand for drugs of this category depending on the time of year.
The pharmaceutical group for the treatment of enuresis is represented by seven international generic names. The main volume of expenses of Russian consumers falls on drugs containing the active substance solifenacin, the share of which is 45% in ruble terms and 55% in physical sales for the first half of 2025.
Four trademarks with the international non-proprietary name solifenacin are presented on the Russian market. The second in terms of sales is demonstrated by INN mirabegron, which is represented by the only Betmiga brand from Astellas[1]
