The fraction of emission of heart is the indicator reflecting the volume of the blood which is pushed out by the left ventricle at the time of its reduction in an aorta gleam. This parameter is calculated proceeding from a ratio of volume of the blood which is thrown out in an aorta to the volume of the blood which is in the left ventricle at the time of its relaxation. So when the ventricle is weakened, it contains in itself(himself) blood from the left auricle, and then, being reduced, it pushes out a part of blood in an aorta gleam. This part of blood is also the fraction of emission expressed as a percentage. Regulation of fraction of emission of the left ventricle makes 55-70%.
2017: Use of the smartphone for a research
In September, 2017 it became known of creation of technology which is capable to define the fraction of emission of the left ventricle (FELV) by means of the smartphone. At the same time the efficiency of measurement is stated at the level of an echocardiography, however it is the procedure takes up to 45 minutes whereas authors of mobile development claim that it yields results of all in a couple of minutes.
Mobile application for calculation of FVLZh was created jointly by scientists of California Institute of Technology, Medical research institute of Huntington and the University of Southern California.
The developed program allows to define FVLZh by simple guidance of the camera of the smartphone on the patient's neck. For confirmation of operability of a system the research in which 72 volunteers aged from 20 up to 92 years participated was conducted.
At first to them fractions of emission of heart by means of iPhone took measurements, and then sent to MRT for comparison of results. Results of testing showed a measurement error of a telephone method at the level of 19.1% that approximately corresponds to a limit of errors at an ultrasonic cardiography. The most exact method of determination of FVLZh is MRT of heart, concerning it and the error is calculated.[1]
