2023: National Data Center Technical Concept Standard Approved
In January 2023, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) issued Order No. 5-st on the approval of the new national standard of the Russian Federation GOST R 70627-2023 "Data Processing Centers. Engineering infrastructure. Documentation. Technical concept. Requirements to composition and content. "
The standard was developed by a working group of experts in the field of design and construction of data centers, formed on the basis of the Association of Data Center Industry Participants. The working group was headed by Andrei Pavlov, general director of the integrator of engineering systems DataDome, as well as a member of the board of the Association. The standard was examined by the Technical Committee for Standardization No. 120 "Data Processing Centers" (TK120) and was approved by Rosstandart according to the established procedure. The national standard will come into effect on March 1, 2023.
The standard defines the technical concept of the data center as a set of documents designed to formalize approaches to the creation of the engineering infrastructure of the data center and to form a justification for the chosen approach based on the technical requirements of the customer specified at the initial stage of the project.
The standard is intended to form the content and structure of the data center technical concept, namely: a basic and expanded set of indicators of the designed data center, a list of the main and auxiliary systems of the data center AI. The requirements of the standard are focused on the documentation structure and do not define technical solutions, which ensures that the standard is universally applied to various infrastructure solutions.[1]
