As noted, the introduction of systems to support medical decision-making in real clinical practice is one of the most important areas of digital healthcare transformation. The application of such technologies helps to improve data collection and analysis, reduces the number of errors in medical records, and also reduces the burden on medical personnel when performing routine tasks. As a result, clinical decision-making efficiency is increased and medical-diagnostic processes are improved. However, the operation of AI systems depends on the quality of the source materials used in the processes of creating and testing products, including individual algorithms and machine learning models. As a result, it becomes necessary to standardize various components of AI platforms.

The approved standard establishes requirements for the design and testing of medical decision support systems in terms of the process of extracting data from unstructured medical records, methods of forming datasets for training and testing, and metrics for assessing the quality of systems. GOST is put into effect on January 1, 2026.^[1]
