2020: Moscow for the first time since 2014 entered in top-25 the cities, most attractive to investors
At the end of 2020 Moscow for the first time in six years entered in top-25 the cities of Global Cities of the Future, most attractive to investors. The rating is by the division of fDi Intelligence entering Financial Times.
The Russian capital was at the 22nd place, having outstripped, in particular, San Francisco, Vilnius and Montreal. This rating includes the cities recognized the most perspective for inflow of investments, economic development and expansion of a business environment.
The authorities of Moscow connected promotion of the city in rating with the favorable environment for business, an end-to-end system of measures of support of investors including foreign and also operational interaction with business and existence of special mechanisms for profitable localization of productions.
The first place keeps four years in a row Singapore in Global Cities of the Future. In 2020 it remained on the first place, despite much slower growth of the internal direct foreign investments in comparison with London and Dubai, experts note.
In a research it is told that Singapore shows "all signs of an economic recovery after COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic". This process is based on the increasing digitalization and work in the direction to green economy.
London in rating for 2020 took the second place generally thanks to inflow of the direct foreign investments in the amount of $2.6 billion within five years. The British capital also showed good results in category of a human capital and way of life.
The three of the best in Global Cities of the Future was closed by Dubai which three years steadily improve positions in rating. Favorable tax rates of Dubai, free economic zones and well educated labor power were very attractive to many companies.
