2025: All state sites in Uzbekistan moved to the gov.uz portal

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has fully transferred all official websites of state bodies to a single platform - the Government Portal (gov.uz) from March 1, 2025. The corresponding decree was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the country on January 31, 2025.

The single operator of the platform is the Unified Integrator of State Information Systems Uzinfocom. This measure is aimed at improving the work of the web resources of state bodies and unifying their representation in the Internet space.

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has carried out a complete transfer of all official websites of state bodies to a single platform

After switching to a single platform, the addresses of the previous sites of government agencies automatically redirect users to new pages on the portal gov.uz. At the same time, all data published on older versions of sites is completely saved, despite the termination of the functioning of previous resources.

As part of the reform, the personal responsibility of heads of state bodies for the work of their information resources on a single platform has been established. To ensure uniformity and consistency in the work, a special list of types of information to be posted on the portal has been developed, with a clear indication of the frequency of their publication.

An important requirement for content on the new platform is the mandatory presentation of information in the state and Karakalpak languages. At the same time, the possibility of placing materials in other languages is normatively fixed - both in full and in abbreviated form.

The procedure for mandatory coordination of all published materials with the press service of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan before their placement on the platform has also been introduced. According to the established standards, the approval process should not exceed one working day, which is designed to ensure the efficiency of updating information.[1]
