Honored worker of communication and information

On July 19, 2018 the president Russia Vladimir Putin signed the decree "About Some Questions of the State Prize System of the Russian Federation"^[1]. The document sets two new ranks - "Honoured Worker of Communication and Information of the Russian Federation" and "Honored Journalist of the Russian Federation".

In Russia the rank of the honored worker of communication is entered

According to the decree, an honorary title "The honored worker of communication and information of the Russian Federation" is appropriated to highly professional workers of communication, mass media and mass communications.

It can be entitled for personal merits of the specialist:

• in development and improvement of the modern means of communication, transmission media and acceptance of information based on implementation of high-performance digital telecommunication equipment;
• in development of the Russian mass media and mass communications;
• in creation in the field of mass media and mass communications of the socially important projects which gained wide recognition of the public and professional community;
• in the development and deployment of essentially new highly effective communication equipment and types of communication of new generation allowing to provide to the consumer a broad spectrum of telecommunication services;
• in development and implementation of modern information technologies and the engineering solutions used in production and dissemination of mass information;
• in improvement of quality of telecommunication service of the population and the organizations;
• in timely providing the population and the organizations with the objective information;
• in formation of the objective attitude towards Russia abroad;
• in training of qualified personnel for the organizations performing activity in the field of communication, information, technologies and mass communications.

The honorary title is given, as a rule, not earlier than in 20 years since the beginning of implementation of professional activity and in the presence at the person of industry awards of federal or regional authorities recommended for a decoration.
