IGMP
IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol is the protocol of management of groups of the Internet) is the network protocol, is used by nodes in the network based on IPv4 protocol for the message of belonging to IP group to network routers and also accomplishment of other control functions by group routing.

IGMP of version 3 is defined in RFC 3376. The previous versions of IGMP are defined in RFC 2236 (version 2) and RFC 1112 (version 1).

Version 2 allows the router to find out quicker that there are no members of any IP group any more.
IGMP of version 3
In version 3 support of filtering of the addresses was added. Using this mechanism the node can report from what addresses he wants to receive packets and from what is not present.
