2021: Passports of officials and businessmen were on the website of the Innoprom exhibition
In July 2021, a leak of personal data of the Innoprom international industrial exhibition was recorded. Passports of politicians and entrepreneurs appeared on the event website.
According to the publication "Ura.ru," a person turned to the editorial office, who said that he checked the functionality of the Innoprom website and discovered in the public domain the data of everyone who registered for the exhibition, which these days takes place in Yekaterinburg.
According to the author of the letter, on July 6, 2021, he contacted representatives of the exhibition and proposed closing the vulnerability in the site's security system, but the error was never fixed.
According to the publication, more than 150 thousand files were in the public domain, which, when registered, were sent to the site of the exhibition by its visitors until 2019 inclusive, among them documents of officials and businessmen. In particular, the passport of the chairman of the board of directors of the Sinara group, Alexander Pumpyansky, the son of the founder of the holding, billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky, was discovered.
Program Director of Innoprom Anton Atrashkin in a comment to RBC associated the publication of documents with hacking.
On the website of the publication "Ura.ru" scans of passports of Innoprom participants with partial personal data were published. This is categorically unacceptable. Experts know that no system guarantees 100% penetration protection. We did not store data in the public domain, and their hacking and bypassing are illegal. Especially the publication of data in the media, "he said. |
According to Atrashkin, the organizers of Innoprom "entered into a dialogue with Kaspersky" on the issue of data protection. He added that the leadership of Innoprom intends to review its relationship with the publication.
The Innoprom exhibition has been held in Yekaterinburg since 2010. It has federal status, among its organizers - the Ministry of Industry and Trade.[1]
