2025: GIS "Integration Gateway" for electronic document management with EAEU countries launched in Russia

In December 2024, the state information system (GIS) "Integration Gateway" was put into operation in Russia. It is intended to organize electronic document management with the EAEU countries.

The operator of the "Integration Gateway" is the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation: the department is responsible for the creation, development (modernization) and operation of GIS. This platform is a "transport" channel through which information on request is transmitted from Russian authorities to other EAEU members and vice versa. The software and hardware components of the system are located on the territory of the Russian Federation and have certificates of compliance of the information protection tools used with the information security requirements issued by the FSB and (or) FSTEC. The main tasks of the "Integration Gateway" are:

• Unification of the process of exchange of electronic messages and their routing between users;
• Ensuring the interaction of the EAEU integrated information system with information systems operated by the public authorities of Russia or legal entities registered in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation using the services of a trusted third party;
• Providing users with access to services of a trusted third party during cross-border electronic interaction.

The Integration Gateway is responsible for routing electronic messages between various information systems, as well as for interaction with the GIS "Trusted Third Party of the National Segment of the Russian Federation of the Integrated Information System of the Eurasian Economic Union." As users of the "Integration Gateway" there are public authorities of the Russian Federation and foreign member states of the EAEU, international organizations, as well as trusted third parties.^[1]
