Iron casting (market of Russia)

The size of the market of iron casting in Russia was in 2015 in kind 1,340.3 thousand tons that is 233% more than an indicator of 2014. Such sharp jump is explained by significant increase in production of cast iron in 2015. In value term the size of the market of iron casting was 26.1 billion rubles in 2015 that is 167% more than a similar indicator of 2014. It should be noted that import and export deliveries of products from cast iron make an insignificant share in the size of the market of iron casting.

Import of products in 2015 made of cast iron, steel and other ferrous metals in kind 49,142.8 tons that is 35% less, than in 2014. In import products from not forged cast iron in kind prevail.

In value term import volume in 2015 was 112,412.7 thousand dollars that is 39% less than an indicator of 2014. In import in value term products from steel prevail.

The leading producer of the products imported to Russia from cast iron in 2015 became LIEBHERR – 20%, products from malleable iron - OUTOTEC FINLAND OY (20%), products from not forged cast iron - DNEPROTYAZHMASH (50%).

The average level of the prices of producers of molding cast iron in Russia in 2015 was established at the level of 18,121 rub/tons that is 15.7% more, than in 2014. From 2010 for 2015 the highest level of the prices of producers of molding cast iron was observed in 2011 – 20,642 rub/tons.
