The well-known aphorisms in Latin:
- Veni, vidi, vici. Came, saw, won.
- Consuetudo est altera natura. Custom is second nature.
- Epistula non erabescit. The letter does not redden (paper does not blush).
- Ignorantia non est argumentum. Ignorance is not an argument (ignorance does not exempt from liability).
- Mala herba cito crescit. The bad grass quickly grows. (Bad case simple.)
- Non est fumus absque igne. There's no smoke without fire.
